HLTH

HLTH (pronounced “health”) is the leading platform bringing together the entire health ecosystem, focused on health innovation and transformation. From unparalleled events with industry-leading speakers to inspirational digital content and mission-driven initiatives, HLTH creates a unique marketplace for the health community leading the dialogue and development of a better health ecosystem.

Last month’s HLTH conference in Las Vegas was an energized gathering of over 10,000 attendees representative of the broad healthcare ecosystem focused on pushing the boundaries of healthcare innovation and transformation. The CIDH team and our Mass General Brigham colleagues were among the attendees and thought leaders at this dynamic event. This year, HLTH drew big-name speakers, including Dr. Chelsea Clinton DPhil, MPH (Vice Chair of the Clinton Foundation and Co-Founder of Metrodora Ventures), Nick Jonas (Global Superstar and Co-Founder of Beyond Type 1), and Arianna Huffington (Founder and CEO of Thrive Global, the founder of The Huffington Post).

HLTH provided an opportunity for our team to strengthen ties with our existing clients and engage with potential partners. While networking on the event floor and tuning in to a number of speakers, generative AI emerged as this year’s undeniable hot topic. We heard that while generative AI shows enormous potential to address healthcare’s biggest challenges, there remain concerns about privacy/security, contributing to administrative burden, and scalability in health systems.

During the conference, CIDH introduced an exciting initiative in healthcare research—Mass General Brigham’s Hospital Integrated Research Organization (HIRO). HIRO’s innovative platform represents a major leap forward in the realm of clinical research, empowering sponsors, healthcare professionals, researchers, and patients to leverage the power of data to generate better outcomes. The HIRO offering spans all medical disciplines and phases of novel therapeutic and technology development—from early-stage R&D to post-market analysis. We focus on supporting our expert clinician-investigators, research sponsors, and patient-partners to collaborate seamlessly, delivering cost-effective, quality clinical trials faster.
